Radio Harambe Podcast Episode 11 - The Story of Harambe

This week's episode features your hosts talking about the backstory of Harambe, the history of the real countries that inspired it and even a little tour through the streets of this mythical Port of East Africa. They also discuss the news including tours of Expedition Everest, springboks at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and a serious gripe-fest over changes to the Norway Pavilion at Epcot's World Showcase.

  1. Loved this episode! Especially the segment on the history of Harambe tying together the British colonial influence and the bathroom talk the sign leading into the restrooms at the Tusker house reads "gents" take a look as this restroom was in my "top ten" of WDW restrooms:

  2. oh! one more thing, you guys mentioned all the posters of the various safari companies in Harambe, but have you ever noticed the deflated hot air balloon in the Queue of Kilimanjaro safaris?

    I know that you guys mentioned the Jorodi masks and beads being in the tusket house "open air marketplace"

    Do you know of any other set pieces that tie in to the posters, those are just awesome! here's hoping the the new section offers a few details that weave back in to some of the things shown on the old posters, or that there are new posters that tie to physical props in the section of harambe we already know like the Kilimanjaro Safaris canoes, or the door with the "ring bell" sign beside Mombassa Marketplace.
